Ensuring effective inventory management with minimal environmental impact
After our vehicles are purchased through one of our many resources, they undergo an intake process that includes de-pollution, assessment, inventory tagging, and recycling. Here’s how our 7 Step Process works:
All vehicles are put on our Crow Environmental Rack, which is one of the most effective de-pollution systems available. The system allows us to quickly and safely remove and recycle all fluids from the vehicle, including the oil, coolant, Freon, transmission fluid, and gas.
The vehicle is inspected by our Inventory Manager to determine whether the vehicle should be inventoried for parts or processed and sent out as scrap metal.
If the vehicle is inventoried for parts, the Inventory Crew will begin a detailed process of removing and inspecting parts, deciding which parts are functional and should be inventoried for resale using our state-of-the-art Yard Management System. Any parts that that are not functional are processed and sold to core recyclers, so that nothing is wasted.
Parts that are inventoried are tagged and displayed in our facility to eliminate as much “wait time” for customers as possible.
All tires, wheels, jacks, and batteries are removed and sold in our on-site Tire & Wheel Center. Through this center we also offer many others services, including oil changes, brake service, tire rotation, and Uhaul rentals.
Once the vehicle has been processed and inventoried, it is given a stock number and placed in our yard for one year to sell the remainder of its parts.
After one year, any remaining parts are pulled from the vehicle and sold to core recyclers. The rest of the vehicle is crushed and recycled as scrap metal.
